About the Accelerated Reader (AR) Program
The Accelerated Reader program is a division of Renaissance Learning designed for reading comprehension. Clubview students all participate in the AR program. Students reading levels are assessed with the STAR test, which is taken 2-3 times per year. They choose books from the school library based on their reading level (ATOS level). After reading a book, students have the opportunity to take a quiz based on the book. Points are earned based on the ATOS level of each book and how well the student does on the quiz. Students accumulate AR points from reading and taking quizzes all throughout the year.
Books read to a student and books read from home are also acceptable for quizzes. Quiz numbers can be found at AR Book Finder.
Parents can keep track of their students AR progress at home with Renaissance Home Connect (link up). Information will be sent home with new students, and returning students generally remember their password and login information.
